french and dutch creole has a special name but english based creole dialect is named after the country or region of origin

  21. dumplingandtt Says:

not patois thats french creole. the official name for the dialect is Jamaican English creole. when we speak amongs ourselves we call it patois but i think it is important when we are informing outsiders to inform them of the correct name

  22. spoilpickney Says:

  23. Asphedal Says:

It is Patois spoken by Jamaicans, more of a dialect than a language
